Your gondolier may offer commentary if you ask, or let the waterway do the talking. Night rides are available.

“We did the 1.5 hour Gondola trip and it was perfect for our family of four (two teenage boys). Fabio balanced very well what we needed to know (learned so much) versus letting us take in our surroundings at the same time. His vast experience showed as he expertly navigated the smaller quieter canals and also on the larger grand canal. Would recommend the 1.5 hour trip as 30 minutes just flew by so quickly. We had arrived a few minutes early and Fabio started our tour straight away.”

“Amazing way to see Venice. This was a very small tour of 7 people and the tour guide was so nice and very informative. We took the unbeaten hidden paths and saw some great ways to avoid the mega crowds of venice which was nice because the crowds can be hectic during high season. The weather affected the end of the tour but we finished at a nice wine bar to hide from the rain. I wish we would have stayed a little bit longer at the Rialto Market but you can request it once you get there. Our tour was fantastic and highly recommended.”
